Achmea Australia is seeking a Sydney based Insurance Product Specialist to join its rapidly growing team.
Achmea Australia offers general insurance products directly to farmers and growers in Australia. Achmea Australia has an entrepreneurial team with high energy levels and a shared vision to offer long term partnerships with our clients.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the successful candidate will:
- Work in consultation with all departments within Achmea Australia to ensure the insurance products offered align with Achmea’s value proposition
- Influence the future scope of the insurance products offered and, in collaboration with the commercial, underwriting and claims teams, and using information obtained from client feedback, make recommendations to enhance those products
- Use industry knowledge and research to strategically direct product development
- Assist with the development of metrics and measures the success of new and existing product(s) initiatives
- Assist in the development of product marketing
- Communicate and positively contribute to training and develop tools that support the interactions with current or prospective clients
- Develop and drive the business case for changes to the product offering or its delivery to market
- Review product profitability and deliver pricing recommendations
- Oversee the regulatory compliance for all products
- Assist operations with production and review of product wordings (PDS) and related documents
To be successful in this position you will have a tertiary qualification in agriculture, finance, business or law and you will have at least 5 years of experience working in a similar role. You will have a sound knowledge of the general insurance industry.
You will have an excellent understanding of the competitor products and the current market and will use this to predict future challenges for the products. Strong communication skills are a must as well as the ability to work as part of a team. You will have a high level of technical aptitude and the ability to drive growth through collaboration and stakeholder management.
