Here’s where you come in…
To support the growth of AustralianSuper we are seeking a senior investments risk professional to partner with our high performance Investments division, working with key stakeholders to drive an uplift in risk maturity in line with significant growth and change.
As the division's dedicated risk advisory partner, you will imbed yourself in everyday business activities, building your stakeholder and operational business knowledge, while designing, implementing and ensuring stakeholder adoption of a best practice second line investments risk framework. Reporting directly in to the Head of Group Risk, this senior role will be responsible for continually adapting and refining the risk framework to meet ongoing changes in requirements.
Constantly engaging with the business, your exceptional influencing, negotiation and communication skills will be frequently required as you deal with stakeholders up to the executive and Board level.
You’ll need…
We are looking for a consultative risk professional who takes pride in the quality of their stakeholder relationships and ability to influence and negotiate effectively. You are well organised, analytical and investigative, and have an advanced understanding of front and back office investments operations, and the associated risks.
Having worked at a senior level, but in a hands-on capacity, you have a strong and current understanding of control design, and are able to apply best practice theory to solve business specific challenges.
Our ideal candidate would be able to advise on and implement appropriate governance arrangements across all Asset Classes including domestic and global equities, property and direct equity investments holdings. Reporting will be at Board and Board Committee level so highly developed written skills are a critical component of this role.
