As the Injury Prevention and Claims Management Coordinator, you play a crucial role in driving safety performance and contributing the WH&S strategic plan for your key stakeholders – this includes our Huntingwood manufacturing facility, North Strathfield Regional Headquarters and NSW Field Sales workforce.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, your primary focus will be managing rehabilitation and return to work processes for workers compensation and injury claims. You will be based at our iconic manufacturing facility at Huntingwood. This state of the art facility produces some of our most loved brands such as Tim Tam, Shapes, Salada and Scotch Finger.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Managing the return to work process for injured employees;
  • Provide strategic direction on high risk claims;
  • Work closely with the key functional stakeholders to advance  injury management and processes on site; 
  • Liaise with external insurer around injured worker claims;
  • Facilitate injury prevention and key safety programs - manual handling education and skills assessment, early intervention, ergonomics, health and wellness;
  • Auditing and monitoring of safety systems;
  • Coach and guide leaders in injury management processes and
  • Workplace Assessments

What are the ingredients you need to be successful?

  • Allied Health qualifications, ideally in OT, physiotherapy or rehabilitation counselling;    
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in workers’ compensation;
  • Ability to effectively liaise with a variety of stakeholders to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes;
  • Valid drivers’ licence;
  • Ability to work autonomously, as a member of a small team;
  • Interest in developing broader skills in the WH&S area;
  • Flexibility around work hours in a 24/7 production site environment.
