THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Technical Specialist to assist our Case Management Specialists who are working on significant injury, mental health and/or medically complex claims. You will be the go-to person, ensuring that all aspects of these complex case scenarios are well considered in establishing recovery plans and making decisions. You will collaborate daily with your team, assisting them to provide clarity and support to all stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

• You are empathetic and passionate about providing high level of customer care
• You have strong communication skills and build trust and rapport with all stakeholders
• You have a solutions mindset, where achieving timely and positive outcomes are important to you
• You have previous experience working as a case manager or a technical specialist background
• You embrace change with confidence and are comfortable working collaboratively within a multi-system environment

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working directly with a team of Case Management Specialists supporting the delivery of a world class customer experience
• Assessing all technical considerations of compensation payments and liability determination
• Developing and maintaining best practice in the formulation of authorised settlements of complex and sensitive situations
• Collaborating broadly to improve the timeliness and communication of claims outcomes ensuring all stakeholder needs are met
• Working within the legislative and regulatory environment to optimise outcomes for all stakeholders
• Applying sound risk management principles to ensure compliance and robust decision making
