We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Claims Officer to join our Claims business unit in Parramatta on a 12 month contract/ secondment basis. This role involves processing claims & providing technical support to the Motor Management Team.

The opportunity

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Works with team to complete Closed File Reviews, Open File Reviews and Quality checks as set out within the Claims Quality Management Framework
  • Responds to critical issues and exceptions appropriately
  • Acts as escalation point for customer complaints and assisting with any escalated issues
  • Work with team to develop strategies that directly impact and improve claims outcomes for both the customer and QBE
  • Provide technical expertise and mentoring to assist the team development
  • Provide additional management support to the Manager when required, including team management coverage during periods of leave
  • Champion key business initiatives to deliver impact within Team i.e. Quality, Process, Real Time Management
  • Contribute to employee PDPs
  • Manages, mediates and negotiates appropriate resolutions to high value, major loss claims cases
