About the Role

The Technical Manager position plays a key role in Xchanging's growth strategy in Workers' Compensation. The purpose of the role is to provide advice and feedback to Case Managers on appropriate legislation to better understand and anticipate the technical and legal aspects associated with each claim. Assist with improving return to work outcomes, determining ongoing entitlements for the injured worker and reducing overall claim costs.

Required Expertise  

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business and/or rehabilitation or health related discipline; or equivalent experience;
  • Technical knowledge / industry experience:
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in claims management or in a statutory benefits system
    • Strong working knowledge of Accident Compensation Act 1985 and associated regulations
    • Worked across multiple claims disciplines
  • Exposure to WorkSafe Victoria claims management systems
