About the business and the role
The Bella Venezia restaurant is a vibrant Multi Award Winning Establishment positioned in the heart of Mooloolaba on the beautiful Sunshine Coast where we have been trading since 1983.
We are currently open 7 days.
Due to our ongoing growth we require additional hospitality professionals to join our exciting & fun team.
We are seeking experienced applicants who possess the following attributes:
- Section Wait Staff experience (Waiters)
- Cocktail Bar Experience & Extensive Wine Knowledge(Bar Staff)
- Present Exceptionally well
- Have an outgoing and friendly personality
- Can work well under pressure
- Highly Motivated
- Have a genuine passion for Service Excellence
- Are available to work evenings & weekends
Job tasks and responsibilities
This role includes but is not limited to:
- (Waitstaff) The ability to work as a section waiter in our extremely busy restaurant.
- (Bar Staff( a basic understanding & working knowledge of Australian wine & solid understanding & working knowledge of mixology
- The ability to work autonomously with little to no supervision will be required at times.
- Availability to work evening shifts is a must
- Very high presentation levels
- The ability to work as part of a team
- To effectively communicate to patrons & team members with no language barriers
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have had extensive floor experience as a section waiter or experience as a cocktail barman in busy a la carte restaurant or busy lounge bar. Bar staff applicants MUST have solid wine knowledge.
The candidate will be required to demonstrate the following skills:
- the ability to carry 3 plates with ease
- the ability to clear a table correctly
- to demonstrate the correct way to present & open a bottle of wine
- a solid understanding of domestic wines
- to demonstrate exceptional customer service techniques
- Intermediate to advanced mixology skills for barstaff
