The Kalgoorlie Overland Motel is a 90 room motel 2.5km from the main town of Kalgoorlie. We cater for approximately 200 people per night consisting of regular in-house guests and the general public
We have a strong reputation of a great family friendly restaurant for and are continuing to grow. It has a 120 seat dining room plus a large function room which caters for sporting clubs, wedding receptions, conferences and presentations. The position will allow you to maintain the current standards with opportunity of improvement
The Kalgoorlie Overland Motel is looking for a chef who is:
- A team oriented professional who will lead their team by example,
- Has an eye for detail, the ability to train & develop team members
- Able to forward menu plan in consultation with management
- The ability to successfully maintain a cost effective menu
- Give input into kitchen rosters
- Maintain all aspects of food safety, compliance & cleanliness
- Create new menus and theme nights to a popular buffet restaurant
- Be able to monitor and limit wastage at all times.
- Had previous buffet experience
