Sokyo is looking for an exceptional assistant manager to lead our front of house breakfast team.
The role:
As an assistant manager, you will be responsible in overseeing the day to day operations. You will be aiding in the management within Sokyo and the front of house staff and proving proactive management and leadership to our breakfast team.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Recommend, support and deliver strategies designed by the General Manager
- Provide recommendations to maximise revenue
- Assisting in managing P&L to ensure beverage operations are within budgetary requirements
- Main point of contact for customer service queries and/or complaints
- Manage staff, including training plans, recruitment, development and performance
- Ensure all policies and procedures both in-house and external are adhered to
The requirement:
- Previous experience as a manager or supervisor in a fine dining restaurant
- Ability to provide input in the wine/sake menu design
- Oversee wine/sake education and training of staff
- Provide consultation services for food/wine/sake matching
- Ability to drive your team to deliver excellent customer service
- Proven experience in SOPs
- Exceptional communication and presentation
- Pride in your time management and organisational skills
- Exposure to administrative duties from rostering, OH&S, meeting HACCAP standards etc
Experience in training, coaching and mentoring staff
