About the role

As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with venue standards
  • Maintain and implement daily food prep lists
  • Maintain and evaluate existing food concepts.  Assist in the development of new menus
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in the proper preparation of menu items and operation of equipment
  • Maintaining cost effectiveness in wastage and production control
  • Enforcing food health and safety legislation and relevant policies and procedures
  • Ensuring correct food handling and storage and abide by and ensure all WHS standards are met at all times

Skills & experience

  • Grill experience and mise en place skills
  • Passion and creative flair in the production of high-quality food
  • Team player with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
