Meletos is one of the busiest and most celebrated destinations in the Yarra Valley, encompassing a 100 seat Italian inspired café, corporate & function space (The Warehouse), boutique accommodation (The Farmhouse) and regional providore (The Providore).
Located on St Huberts Road, Coldstream, The Meletos Cafe operates 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, offering wood-fired pizzas, seasonal fare, an award-winning wine list and hand crafted ales.
We are seeking a talented and career minded Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team.
The Meletos Café boasts stunning views out to the blue-tinged Great Dividing Range and is surrounded by acres of vineyards, apple orchards and our own kitchen garden.
Our continually evolving menus have a strong focus on fresh, seasonal and regional produce. We work closely with some of the Victoria's finest food producers & winemakers, many of which are located just around the corner or up the road from our kitchen.
This full-time position will require the availability to work a flexible 7 day roster and the availability to work weekends and evenings is required.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, within a fast paced kitchen environment and possess the following key strengths;
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to keep calm throughout fast paced and busy services
- Ability to work successfully within a close team environment
- Commitment to quality, consistency and presentation
- Knowledge and adherence to all OH&S Food Safety requirements
