About you
You are a revenue nerd. You know your RGI from your GDS and even though you speak fluent revenue, you know how to translate this to your colleagues to turn data into strategy. Instead of thinking about your drive to work, you think about how to drive RevPAR. You can switch from Rev to Res at the drop of a hat and treat reservations as an opportunity smash the comp set.
About the role
- You are solely responsible for revenue within the hotel, reporting directly into Senior Management.
- Time will be spent close to your crystal ball forecasting
- You'll always know what we're holding (including the cards)
- You'll know how to tap into our market segments to generate revenue
- There'll be deadlines to meet, but these are what get you motivated
- You'll have every opportunity to utilise your high level analytical skills to make recommendations regarding the hotel's strategic direction
- You'll LOVE spreadsheets and you'll know what to do with them
Competencies and Experience
We don't need you to forecast this week's winning lotto numbers (or maybe we do), but you will need to have experience in the following areas:
- Using Opera, channel managers, advanced Microsoft Excel and GDS
- A similar revenue role within a hotel environment (preferably in the Brisbane market)
- Strategic planning
- Reservations
- The ability to communicate effectively with both written and verbal skills
- Sound knowledge of the RFP process
