Grand Ridge Brewery is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join the family at our Gippsland-based brewery and restaurant, working alongside our current team  We're very excited to offer this great opportunity to work within a small, Australian family owned and operated business.

We are one of Victoria's oldest and most recognised craft breweries where beer lovers, locals and holiday makers venture for great craft beer, high quality food and excellent customer service.

Our mission is to create an exceptional customer experience by sharing our passion for craft beer, outstanding local produce and commitment to fantastic customer service. We strive to provide a welcoming environment by introducing the local community to the kind of quality they deserve in all aspects of food and beverage.

This role requires a team player who loves working with the freshest local produce and who can bring a new creative flair to our menu.  You must be able to work independently as well as a team environment.  

This position is full time, covering our lunch and dinner services
Being a small business a hands on, can do attitude will be an essential quality for the successful applicant.
Salary is negotiable for the right applicant.

 

Required skills include but are not limited to:

  • Minimum Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery
  • Interest in local gourmet produce
  • Interest in or experience with food and beer matching
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and without supervision as required
  • Proven ability to lead and direct staff with respect and fairness
  • Ability to work in a high volume environment
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to the hospitality industry
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Mature attitude, honesty, loyal and exceptional work ethic
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
