CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Arrive at work on time in the correct attire, conforming with the Brisbane Marriott Hotel grooming LSOP.

Obtain a solid knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, food and beverage outlets and other hotel features and guest facilities.

Support and abide with the Brisbane Marriott Hotel LSOP’s pertaining to Anti–Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Equal Employment Opportunity and Guarantee of Fair Treatment.

Perform all duties to satisfy the Marriott “Business Ethics” value system of integrity, fairness, respect, honesty and trust.

Be aware of all environmental practices, policies and procedures and implement these on a daily basis.

Be aware and adhere to all Brisbane Marriott Hotel Work Health and Safety and Security policies and procedures.

Perform any reasonable task as requested by management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the overall supervision of the Catering Food & Beverage Attendants when on shift or when assigned to a particular function/event.

Oversee any designated set ups and break down of functions and that all detailed requests as per function sheet are met.

Ensure function rooms are reset properly and to the required standard after a function is completed.

Supervise all Food & Beverage associates on any particular shift, delegating tasks accordingly, ensuring that operational standards and procedures are followed and hotel policies are adhered to.

Ensure food items offered in the outlets are of a consistent standard and provide feedback to the chefs in relation to sales, wastage and menu changes, or special functions / requests.

Ensure correct cashiering procedures are adhered to according to hotel policy.

Assist in the updating of the outlet’s ‘Operational and Training’ manual.

Deal immediately with any guest issues, and be responsible for appropriate follow-up.

Convey any guest issues / comments / complaints directly to the Department Manager.

Check personally on guest satisfaction.

Promote repeat business through personal contact with guests.

Ensure sanitation and hygiene standards are met.

Ensure all opening and closing duties and preparation is carried out.
