The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 375 guest rooms, 2 restaurants, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, Executive Lounge and 13 meeting spaces collectively totalling 1800m2 it is scheduled to open in October this year. Located adjacent to the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.
Pullman and ibis Brisbane Airport is currently looking for a part time Housekeeping Attendant. You will be working with a team of dynamic cleaners. In this role, you will undertake a variety of cleaning duties to achieve cost effective running of the Housekeeping department, achieving high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas within the hotels & conference centre.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Cleaning guest rooms; including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and corridors to the hotels high standards for guest arrivals and room moves.
- Ensuring all service areas are fully stocked with guest amenities and advertising material.
- Ensuring towels and linen are replaced & stored correctly.
- Performing any basic maintenance, or report and coordinate major maintenance requirements.
- Reporting any lost property.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained.
- Clean all public areas and back of house areas.
- Attend to guest enquires and requests in a timely manner.
- Delivery of linen and amenities to the floors.
- Clean and maintain locker rooms, staff and public washrooms.
- Time manage jobs and requests accordingly.
To be successful you will need:
- A good eye for detail and previous experience in cleaning, customer service or hospitality.
- Effective time management.
- Exemplary problem solving skills with the desire to exceed guest expectations.
- Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and efficient.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high standard of grooming and presentation.
- Flexibility to work a 7 day week rotating roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
