Are you a Sous Chef looking for your next step?  Do you enjoy variety, creativity and being innovative in the work that you do?  Then you may like to join the Vue Group!   We are on the search for an enthusiastic & passionate, qualified Group Sous Chef to join our award winning restaurant group in Melbourne. 
  
The Role
As a Group Sous Chef you will work closely with our Creative Director, Shannon Bennett & our Executive Group Chef, Justin James.  As the Group Sous Chef, you will focus on providing a high level of production and operational support across the Vue Group.  A genuine excitement and passion for the industry and the desire to build a career with an internationally recognised hospitality group is essential. This is your opportunity to partner with industry leading professionals and strengthens our award-winning restaurant group practices.    
  
The Company
The Vue Group comprises our venues located on Level 55 of the Rialto building, these include Vue de monde, Vue Events and Lui Bar.  Further venues include Jardin Tan, Café Vue, Piggery Café at Burnham Beeches, Melbourne’s first dedicated Seafood restaurant, Iki-jime and Benny Burger.
  
The Responsibilities
Our ideal Group Sous Chef candidate will need to have:
  • Proven experience at a similar level of culinary excellence
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • The natural ability to manage a team, including support in the recruitment, development and day-to-day management of our people
  • Proven people management experience
  • Excellent food knowledge
  • A desire to perform at the highest level
