Balgownie Estate Resort is located just beyond Melbourne into the lovely vineyards of the Yarra Valley – a region well known for its gourmet produce and fine wines to premier wedding, large scale conferences to small boardroom meetings, corporate events, and exciting exhibitions.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef & Chef de Partie to create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
Reporting directly to the Head Chef and will be responsible for assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation. You will be creative with a confident and modern cooking style- excited about using local produce to create food memories for our guests. With culture at the core of this business, you will be a leader invested in your staff, their development and productivity.
Previous experience in an a la carte environment is essential with a strong understanding of food cost and control. You’ll be diligent and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements & will have an understanding of HACCP management.
