Cater Care are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to manage the school tuckshop at a Private School in Burwood, VIC.

We are looking for a dedicated and friendly Cook to ensure the students are provided with the opportunity to enjoy their meals in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere.  Students will have the opportunity to order and purchase breakfast food, lunch and snacks.

Applicants must have excellent Time Management and the ability to prepare breakfast, morning tea and daily hot lunch including vegetarian and fish options.

Reporting to the Operations Manager the key responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:

Key responsibilities:
• Preparing Menu with Adherance to Healthy schools Canteen Guidelines
• Cooking a variety of healthy & nutritious fresh made breakfast items, daily lunch specials, salads, gourmet sandwiches and baked snack items
• Customer service, liaising with students,. parents and teachers
• Monitoring and promoting kitchen hygiene & food safety practices
• Managing a small team of staff
• Monitoring food costs, ordering and stock replenishments
• Cleaning of kitchen areas and dishwashing

Key Attributes:
• Experienced Cook
• Previous experience managing a school cafeteria or similar environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, building rapport and communicaing with students, parents and teachers
• Ability to lead and manage a team

Full Time Chef Manager Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (through school terms)
