Be part of our dynamic team at The Lion Richlands and further your career in our pristine, newly redeveloped venue. With a forward-thinking and innovative team that is focused on working cooperatively to achieve success, the club is currently seeking a Casual and Full Time Grill Chef.
Answering directly to the Executive Chef, you will assume a key role within the Kitchen Department. With a 280 seat restaurant, café and multiple function rooms; this is an extremely busy environment.
The suitable applicant would and should exhibit the following qualities;
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to multi task and work within a team.
- Ability to take direction.
- Reliable, Presentable and Punctual..
- Capability to perform in a fast paced kitchen and demonstrate strong pan and grill experience.
- A passion for food and the ability to deliver outstanding dishes.
In order to be successful in this role you will require previous demonstrated skills and knowledge in a similar role. The Grill Chef will be responsible for:
- Setting and monitoring quality food standards.
- Delegating duties and tasks to staff in order to meet objectives and maximise resources.
- Implementing staff training and procedures developed by the Executive Chef.
- Cooking and preparing quality dishes that meet 'The Lion standard'.
Full time and Casual Positions: Must be open to a flexible roster including days, nights, weekend and split shifts.
Trade qualification and three years minimum experience in a similar role is required.
