Restaurant Chef / Cook / Manager
“TC Growth Pty Ltd” trading as “Wara Sushi" is a fast-growing company in Japanese restaurant industry. We are providing various Japanese cuisines and beverages. Our business is seeking new staffs who are self-motivated, organised and passionate due to significant expansion.
1. Job Title: Chef
Full/Part Time: Full Time, 38 hours per week
Location: Shop2, 6-10 Logandowns Dr, Meadowbrook, QLD, 4131
Duration: 4 year
Salary: $55,000~ $65,000 + Superannuation
Tasks:
- Lead and manage kitchen
- Develop and plan menus
- Supervise the activities of kitchen
- Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager
- Check food to ensure its quality
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Prepare food for cooking
- Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming)
- Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Receive and store supplies
- Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
- Give directions to other kitchen staffs
- Train and supervise other kitchen staffs
2. Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Full/Part Time: Full Time, 38 hours per week
Location: Shop2, 6-10 Logandowns Dr, Meadowbrook, QLD, 4131
Duration: 4 year
Salary: $45,000~ $55,000 + Superannuation
Tasks:
- Discuss catering arrangements with clients
- Talk with cooks and Chef to plan the menu
- Supervise the purchase and storage of food
- Supervise provision of all crockery, cutlery, detergents and kitchenware
- Make sure there is adequate security for food and equipment
- Keep records of payments and expenses
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of workers in dining rooms, kitchens, bars and other areas
- Manage staff hiring, training and rostering
- Make sure that the dining rooms, kitchen, storage facilities and other work areas are kept clean and conform to the health regulations
- Attend to complaints concerning food and service
- Overall management of restaurant
- Check and control hall services
- maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
3. Job Title: Cook
Full/Part Time: Full Time, 38 hours per week

Duration: 4 year
Salary: $50,000~ $55,000 + Superannuation
Tasks:
- Discuss food preparation issues with chef
- Check food to ensure its quality

Requirements:
To be considered for the role, you must have;
- Demonstrated at least 2-3 year work experience in the similar role within the food industry; or Required qualification holder
- Restaurant Manager: Diploma of Hospitality
- Chef: Diploma of Hospitality plus Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Cook: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery - Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen
- Excellent cooking skills and unique recipes in Japanese cuisines
- Preferable: Permanent resident or Australian citizen (stable residency condition)
