My client is an experienced group travel company specialising in sports travel and tours. Established for over 30 years they have arranged tours within Australia and around the world for Schools, Clubs, Corporate organisations and the general public.

This position would suit a self-motivated, highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service and sales. With a focus on the Rugby World Cup in Japan commencing in September 2019, this role will see you:

Duties:                
  • Report and provide administrative and ongoing sales support. 
  • To work with existing clients and suppliers to ensure the continuation of a smooth sales process taking note of amendments and updates throughout the process.
  • To check Technical Itineraries against client itineraries and ensure all services are supplied as required.
  • Prepare documentation for client itineraries.
  • Monitor departure spreadsheets to ensure all info is entered accurately and completely.
  • Work in internal booking system to ensure tour details are up to date.
  • Ensure invoices are correct prior to payment.
Skills and competencies:
  • Advanced Office and Administration skills including Excel, Word, and Publisher
  • Strong Communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Some experience with Galileo or one of the flight reservation platforms is necessary
  • Group travel experience an advantage
  • Event experience an advantage
  • High attention to detail and high degree of ownership for the work.
  • Accuracy and proofing techniques for accurate production of itineraries, documentation and invoices.
  • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills with excellent spoken and written English
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong rapport with clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
