This role is responsible for ensuring all Melbourne Cruise Turn-Arounds are operated successfully and at maximum profit. Reporting to the National Turnaround Manager, Melbourne Terminal Manager is the primary contact for our Cruise ship partners relating to the A&K Melbourne turnaround business.
During the peak cruise season (October to March) the role will be focused on managing cruise turnarounds and associated administrative tasks with a large proportion of time based on the Pier. During off peak season (April to September) this role will be Melbourne office based with a focus on supplier contracting and negotiation, recruitment of staff and strategic forward planning.
This role is responsible for:
- Management of contracted Melbourne Cruise Ship turnarounds.
- Development of Innovative Product for the Cruise program team in conjunction with relevant Product Managers.
- Assisting Product Team with contracting of major supplier services such as hotel contracts.
- Overseeing recruitment, rostering & training of pier staff in conjunction with the Staffing Co-ordinator.
- Communicating with Cruise Ship turnaround staff and maintaining excellent relationship’s
- Assisting Cruise ship passengers during the transfer process
- Management of coach dispatch supervisor and Airport supervisor staff.
We are seeking someone with;
- Extensive experience in the Cruise Industry
- Previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role
- Understanding of the logistics of large coach movements and management of coach dispatch
- Knowledge of the Australian Inbound Cruise Industry
- Ability to prioritise & work in a demanding fast paced environment
