What is Tokyo Tina all about?
Tokyo Tina has been open for over 3 years now on vibrant Chapel Street. We focus on giving our guests a special experience through exceptional food, service, and vibrant atmosphere. We have a dynamic menu focusing on our true loves of Japanese food, from Beef Bao to addictive Ramens.
We are apart of Commune Group, one of Melbourne’s progressive hospitality groups. Our group comprises of venues such as Hanoi Hannah, New Quarter, Neptune Food & Wine and Alter Dining.
We are a young, passionate hospitality business that are constantly challenging ourselves to be leaders in the industry.
What is the job?
Tokyo Tina’s kitchen is a very creative kitchen with a young dynamic team. A Japanese cooking background would be at your advantage for this role.
- The kitchen prides itself on producing quality food from scratch we believe our best food is created through bold flavours, care and always prioritising quality and freshness
- You will be managing a team of up to 12 staff
- You will need a calming presence as you control the pass on busy nights
- Managing day to day running of the kitchen and working well with suppliers
- Ensuring you have COGs and Labour under control
- Training, developing and leading staff to ensure you have a great high performing team.
- Focus on seasonal changes and staying ahead of trends, through menu development
- A growing group with inhouse training
Who would be a great fit?
- You must have held a similar role and wants a new challenge - holding that role for at least 2 – 3 years.
- Have a passion for the hospitality and the direction it is moving in
- Worked in a high volume, high quality venue
- A desire to learn and develop your skills as we always have room to grow
- Has worked with Japanese food before
