Novotel Brighton Beach is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our fun and friendly team. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a high level of guest service at all times across the Hotel.


About the Hotel
Novotel Brighton Beach features 296 guest rooms, the Baygarden Restaurant, a Pool, Spa, Gym, 12 conference rooms and a Gaming Lounge. Our Hotel overlooks the white sandy beaches of Brighton Le Sands and has picturesque views of Botany Bay. 


About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, your tasks and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to the following:

  • Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests.
  • Attend to guest requests in a timely manner.
  • Actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by guests.
  • Provide guidance, support, training and leadership to all employees.
  • Assist in all areas of the Hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of all patrons, guests and employees.
Who are we looking for?
Your ability to ‘surprise’ our guests with your natural bright and bubbly customer service style is what sets you apart from the rest. You are naturally a confident person who is able to approach people and initiate conversation along with a strong knowledge of the hotel its and surrounding area.
 
You are able to manage your time and can handle juggling numerous tasks at once but still able to follow procedure and maintain a high awareness of security. 


In addition to the above, you will also have:

  • Experience with Opera PMS
  • Experience in a similar role
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience with Emergency Evacuation procedures
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.
