One of the South Coast's most successful Clubs are looking for an Executive Chef to manage the setup and ongoing operation of our newly renovated kitchen and dining experience, due to open in November this year.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of brand new $7 million catering area and make your mark on Australia's fastest growing domestic tourism destination.
The Club
The Country Club St Georges Basin & Vincentia is one of the most successful Registered Club Groups on the South Coast. We are renowned in the Jervis Bay & St Georges Basin area for providing innovative entertainment and social events, while still maintaining all the traditional aspects you enjoy from your local club - and that's what we want our food to reflect.
The Role
This is the beginning of a new chapter. We're looking for an experienced Executive Chef to come in and setup all aspects of our newly renovated kitchen and dining area including (but not limited to):
- Designing a brand new menu
- Building your team
- Setting up systems and procedures
- Ordering of stock
- Budget management
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring the kitchen meets the high standards of our club
- Oversee catering for functions and events
- Manage WHS compliance
You'll work closely with our extremely supportive management team and be given the full support to build an operation that really makes it mark on the South Coast.
The Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years' Head Chef Experience, previous experience in setting up a new kitchen preferred
- Experience in designing and implementing new menus
- Ability to build, develop and mentor a team
- Adherence to high food safety and WHS standards and the ability ensure your team follow the same values
- Experience in ordering, portion control, vendor management and other administrative duties
- Great work ethic, motivated to see not only the kitchen to succeed but the club to thrive.
- Experience in achieving KPI's related to business goals, financial goals and service standards.
