We believe food is at its' best when you have a seasonal and local focus.  We're seeking someone to create seasonal menus that highlight the amazing food bowl that we live in. Someone who will take ownership and lead the team by example and play an active role in helping to lead and develop our business, with a great customer experience focus.

Duties/responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure hotel menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed
  • Maximise profitable food revenue in the hotel's food, function, and bar areas
  • Stock ordering and invoicing responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage kitchen operations
  • Provide leadership to all team members to ensure the hotel provides a great pub experience to all of our customers
  • Develop collaborative relationships with hotel managers and leaders to provide quality food and prompt service to our customers
  • Ability to train/professionally develop hospitality employees

 

Skills/experience

  • Trade qualified: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience within a similar venue/hospitality environment
  • High standards in customer service
  • Experience working within gross profit levels and expense budgets
  • High level of interpersonal, leadership and team skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments
  • Strong menu costing abilities and experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a management/ supervisory role
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in the food industry
