About the business
We are located in Adaminaby, 2 hours from Canberra.
About the role
Snowy Mountains resort is expecting a high volume of customers throughout the winter and further seasons. We are looking for a qualified and experienced chef to manage the kitchen during this busy season.
Duties/responsibilities.
Produce and maintain the quality of food together with excellent presentation.
Maximise profitable food revenue in the hotel's food, function, and bar areas.
Should be able to hire, train and supervise other kitchen staff with good leadership qualities.
Should be able to order and maintain the level food supplies with minimum wastage.
Ensuring safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen at all time complying to HACCP standards
Be able to place own Food Safety Supervisor Certificate on display
Skills and experience
Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Qualification for hotel industry or chef will be preffered.
Appx 3-4 year of experience as cook or head chef.
Able to submit current Food safety Supervisor Certificate.
Positive attitude and able to work under pressure.
