We are currently looking for a different kind of leader who can lead from the frontline and inspire, coach and develop their team, working in a “hands on” approach to ensure the goals are met with a collective approach. You will form a part of the leadership team at Lantern Club, where you will own the catering operation and work with the leadership team in the growth and development of existing and future business opportunities. As a hands-on Head Chef you will have the opportunity to influence the customers experience from kitchen to table, as well as a receive exposure to project management, financial management, menu creation and costing, and business innovation.

IS THIS YOU?

To be the successful applicant you will have the following abilities, skills and experience:

  • Ensure “Great” customer service in all catering areas, via role modelling behaviour, Enhancing our fun, friendly and warm environment where all customers feel special
  • Uphold consistency in service standards, ensuring they are maintained and enhanced
  • Ensure safe work practices with a particular focus on Work, Health and Safety and Food Safety
  • Ability to support and assist the front of house team to ensure a seamless customer experience and manage customer complaints and feedback effectively
  • Ability to mentor, coach, motivate and train new and current team members
  • Ensure smooth running of daily kitchen operations including stock taking, minimising waste etc.
  • Stay on top of your budget: Food costing, menu analysis, P & L analysis; review of daily sales
  • Create marketing and promotion strategies for catering areas, implementing new and innovative menu ideas
  • Relevant recognised training in Commercial Cookery and/or Catering
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role (experience as a Head Chef)
