The Waverley Brewhouse was conceived from a love of great beer and we want to share our vision with our community of friends over great food and good music. Situated within the soon to open entertainment precinct at Westfield Carousel we are set to open our doors to the public at the end of August. We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our opening team and put their stamp on the venue.
As Head Chef you will play an integral part in launching The Waverley Brewhouse – a once in a career opportunity. You will be joining the team from the beginning and will be tasked with a plethora of responsibilities related to the opening of the venue.
This is a position best suited to an experienced Head Chef with the drive, passion and knowledge to succeed in this role. You will be tasked with the autonomous management of the venues kitchen operations and must be able to proactively lead and manage from the front. As Head Chef, you’re able to work to an exacting standard in a fast-paced kitchen, work with fresh seasonal produce and have the ability to keep cool under pressure. You’re someone with an excellent level of food knowledge, creativity & imagination whilst also being able to lead and manage a team.
We require all candidates to possess the following skills:
- A passion for food and beverage, in particular craft beer
- A keen eye for detail & focus on customer experience
- Staff training and development with the ability to build, train and motivate a team
- A strong understanding of financial controls
- Stock control management with the ability to recognise, rectify and implement procedures
- Labour cost management, in particular the ability to write a costed roster
- Menu creation, development and costing
