Café and Event Co-ordinator
The Monkey Nut Café is a family owned business operating since 2006 at the home of Kies Family Wines in the historic township of Lyndoch.
The Café and Event Co-ordinator is a newly created position which will be hands-on in the day to day operations of the café.
The main responsibilities of the position are:
- Motivate and lead a diverse and extremely busy team to deliver and maintain exceptional customer service.
- Assist with rosters, budgets and prepare and maintain café, bar and wage reports.
- Conduct cash handling, float management and till reconciliation daily and provide training for team.
- Order and maintain POS and stock levels.
- Develop and maintain excellent levels of communication with the owners and kitchen team and work collaboratively to expand events and functions opportunities.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Previous experience leading high performing Customer Service focused teams in a fast-paced café / restaurant.
- A passion for food and wine and the ability to engage and train others in conversations with customers to enhance their dining experience.
- A positive attitude and the ability to motivate staff to deliver and maintain exceptional customer service standards.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of purchasing, POS, rostering and reporting
- Ability to demonstrate delegation and deployment skills across sections; coffee, front of house and back of house.
- A strong work ethic, hands-on approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude essential.
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Pride in your personal appearance and that of your team and the venue.
- Ability to used Microsoft office range of products.
- The ability to work some weekends
Applicants must have:
- a current RSA certification
- a current and valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- the right to work in Australia unrestricted
