Rising Sun Workshop is Sydney’s first communal workshop space and café in the heart of Newtown. Our café offers professional friendly service that treat our customers like they’ve returned home every time they visit.

We are looking for someone that is motivated, organised, passionate and has untapped creativity they wish to express using seasonal produce on a globally influenced, progressive Australian menu!
You are someone that is:
- Initiative and ability to multi-task
- Experience in ordering & stock-take
- Ability to execute excellent cooking to the Head Chef’s recipe & specifications
- Excellent organisational skills
- A willingness to experiment and think outside the box
- The ability to adapt to service the greater business
Core responsibilities include:
- Preparation of food
- Helping to maintain prep levels
- Cleaning and general maintenance
- Organization of coolroom and drystore
- Service
- Able to cross the floor and support in customer service
- Ensure good quality of product and good presentation
- Assist in maintaining stock levels and ordering
- Assist in menu planning and creation
- Assist in daily Prep planning and organisation
Minimum 25+ hours per week
Must be able to work nights & weekends
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Must be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
