We have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our busy Sports Bar at the Shafston Hotel.

The Shafston Hotel has a history dating back to 1853, the Shafston Hotel is renowned as one of Brisbane’s leading venues for delicious food and drinks, live entertainment and sporting events and function hire.

As a Duty Manager you will hold a key management role within the Venue. You will lead the rostered staff to deliver superior service to our guests. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• the building and development of strong relationships with internal and external parties
• the provision of support in the creation of a collaborative respectful work environment
• to proactively identify issues relating to compliance, financial or customer satisfaction during any given shift
• to manage and maintain the venue including overseeing the staff, the guests while ensuring the presentation of all areas/departments within the property

As one of the successful applicants you will be dynamic and enthusiastic, you will have a great leadership style with an ability to create a fun team environment. Your background will include:

• An understanding of the expectations and inclusions of a Duty Manager role
• A minimum of two years proven success in a similar Duty Manager role with experience in food, gaming and bar vital
• Experience in leading, managing, up-skilling a multi-disciplined hospitality team
• An ability to juggle multiple priorities!
