Our Purpose

Beating blood cancers by helping patients live longer and have a better quality of life.

Primary Purpose:

To attract, retain and grow support from local community supporters through our Signature Events, with a primary focus on U.G.L.Y Bartender of the Year campaign within the assigned area.

U.G.L.Y. (Understanding. Generous. Likeable. You.) Bartender of the Year is a fun and funky fundraising campaign in the hospitality (hotels and clubs) industry sector.

U.G.L.Y. Bartender contestants create unique and innovative ways to raise funds - hosting events, fundraisers, games and experiences that their patrons will embrace. Working in a team environment, the Campaigns Co-ordinator will recruit bartenders and venues and support these registrants in their fundraising activities (face to face and by phone). U.G.L.Y. Bartenders has a high rate of repeating venues each year and in this role you will motivate, encourage, inspire and support them throughout the campaign period. 

Expected outcomes: 

Increased income and active supporter base from this supporter segment 
Signature events goals, targets and budgets are met 
Retained fundraising supporters and increased income raised 
Leads generated for other areas

About You:

  • Experience in the hospitality/events/fundraising
  • Ability to develop quick rapport and build relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills
  • Energetic self-starter with a "can do" approach
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Positive, friendly approach with a sense of humour for this role
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the organisation to support campaigns
  • The ability to travel as required
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Current Driver's Licence.

Other Information:

The role requires face to face recruitment of venues and bartenders, based out of the North Melbourne office and requiring some extensive travel.
