The Role:
We seek a passionate and enthusiastic qualified pastry chef who is committed to serving quality product and progressing into a management position. You will be cooking cakes, pastries and breads to supply Newcastle and The Hunter with fine baked goods. Be mentored and trained on your cooking style and managent style- this role offers a clear path to management! Work a rotating roster offering 3 weeks of 4pm finishes and 3 weeks of 8pm finishes. Gone are the late nights and split shifts and enjoy a 3 day weekend every 8 weeks! Our client believes in work/ life balance and has a real care for their team and their longevity within their successful business!
You:
- Pastry chef qualifications
- A passion for scratch cooking - use the best local produce on offer!
- A want to move into management and to learn from structured and caring ownership.
- Understanding of HACCAP
- Ordering, stocktaking and stock control experience
- A team player who can coach and mentor younger, less experienced chefs
- Creativity and an understanding of industry pastry/ baking trends
- Above all - a want to work in a happy and harmonious environment and cook quality, consistent product!
