The Role: Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake the above position. The Manager Business Development will be responsible to facilitate and encourage innovative sustainable business and economic development and events within the Shire through proactive programs to facilitate business attraction, retention and expansion and effective marketing and promotion. The role will focus on leveraging the Shire’s competitive advantages and developing greater opportunities through education, innovation and the creative economy and to Manage Council’s strategic property, events and tourism functions.
What You Will Need: We are looking for an innovative business leader with proven commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in delivering business enterprise, economic development and tourism services. The ability to manage multiple businesses, events, projects and teams is essential. Professional planning and development experience preferably with involvement growing a local economy through economic development and tourism initiatives is seen as highly desirable.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $1602.60 - $1794.90 per 35 hour week, in accordance with Council’s salary system. Other conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and procedures.
