ICC Sydney is a $1.5 billion development that has transformed the Darling Harbour precinct. The project delivered 35,000sqm of internal exhibition space, the largest commercial kitchen in the southern hemisphere, Australia’s largest ballroom, an open air event deck, and an 8000 seat entertainment theatre.

We are currently looking to recruit an Event Set Up Team Leader, to coordinate and supervise the set-up of rooms as per client requests, for all events hosted at the ICC Sydney.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the supervision of casual team members to ensure schedules are maintained, labour costs are kept to a minimum and teams work effectively and efficiently to achieve set goals.
  • Manage the sets equipment and resources and ensure the security and working order of those items.
  • Flag any shortfall in equipment and ensure management is aware in a timely manner so alternatives can be sourced
  • Generate schedules, rosters and other event related documentation. Organise and communicate the most up to date set-up, turn-around and strike requirements.
  • Ensure that all casual employees maintain their work environment in a clean, safe and secure manner by removing all rubbish and excess equipment both during the build and at the conclusion of events.
  •  Ensure that all employees and contractors comply with company policy and procedures in all areas and meet or exceed ICC Sydney standards. Assist with training and development of staff.
  • Actively participate in problem solving and decision making to ensure Set-up maintains expected levels of service and control of budgets.

The Successful Candidate:

The successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar event operational management role and prior experience in a 5 star service providing venue or similar.
