Expect A Star are an Australian wide agency who are leading providers of high quality staff in the Early Childhood sector. We work with hundreds of childcare centres all over Sydney, who look after thousands of children aged from 0-5 years old!
We have a regular demand qualified cooks for various childcare centres in the North Shore area. If you have a Food Handling Certificate and/or a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a willing to cater for children between the ages of 0-5 with healthy nutritious meals apply now!
You will be required to travel to various childcare centres to manage the kitchen on a day to day basis; cook all meals for the children, keeping the area clean and hygienic and have a role with planning and ordering menus. This is a great opportunity to use your catering skills in a new setting that has a huge positive influence on the next generation!
We are looking for someone who has:
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) OR qualifications in menu planning, nutrition and food handling
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a chef, either working in a Childcare centre, Aged care setting or a commercial kitchen
- NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Proven experience in managing a kitchen independently - you will be on your own! This is not a kitchen hand role
- Drivers licence and own transport is desirable
- Is engaged, passionate, flexible, dependable and adaptable
- Willing to travel up to 30 minutes for work
