New & Exciting Development Chef Role

We are a leader, developer and licensor of highly valuable brand assets in the foodservice, FMCG and retail channels which deliver on the commercial, professional and personal growth expectations of all stakeholders and employees.

We're now looking for a passionate and innovative Development Chef to join our fast growing culinary development team.

Based at our Food Development Hub in Marrickville, Sydney, the successful candidate will be in the front-line of some of the most creative food development and retail projects in Australia and will be willing and able to work autonomously within a dynamic entrepreneurial environment. 

About The Role 

This role is as diverse as they come, from full New Product Development (NPD) of FMCG products, to creating foodservice solutions, to designing and running premium restaurants.

The role requires someone who has a strong restaurant foundation with broad skills in organisation and project management, as well as a good basic knowledge of applied maths and science.

Experience in food development is a must as this role will require someone who can run projects independently and have a good understanding of the NPD process.

Must Haves

• Creative mind.

• Passion and knowledge around the latest food trends.

• Australian PR or citizenship.

• Minimum 8 years experience, ideally with 2 years in a Michelin or hatted restaurant.

• Skills in menu planning and costings. 

• Skills in recipe creation and product formulations.

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a drive for achievement.

• Be able to take direction.

• Be willing and open to learn and professionally develop. 

• Be punctual, tidy and super organised. 

• Have strong communication skills. 

• Availability to travel locally and interstate as required.

• Have experience in managing people and projects. 

• Hold a current Australian drivers license.

• Be able to provide three current senior industry referees.
