Duty Manager – Cairns

Our Company

Hemingway’s Brewpub has expanded, and we would like you to join us during one of our most exciting times.

We have just opened our 2nd state of the art brewery together with a gastro-pub in a stunning Heritage listed building overlooking Cairns Waterfront. We are currently in the process of assembling a truly inspirational and professional team to embrace the Hemingway’s culture and grow with us.

Our Opportunity

We require an inspirational Duty Manager to join our upbeat and approachable team in Cairns.
The primary purpose is to be involved in all aspects of venue operations including Food and Beverage service, stock management and budgeting, assisting the securing and facilitation of corporate and private events, staff management, rostering and training, and above all customer service.

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role you will ideally have 2 years' experience in a similar position. Additionally you will hold the following:-

• Current RMLV and POS experience would be beneficial for this position.
• You will have a service-oriented disposition with attention to detail being critical.
• Ultimately you enjoy the challenges of getting the best out of your team in a fun and inspirational way as well as the challenges of making our customer experiences the best they've ever had.
• Knowledge and passion about the Craft Beer industry is desirable.

You must have experience with:-

• Coordinating and execution of functions.
• Cash handling, reconciliation, stock control and management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• Providing high-level customer service skills in a variety of hospitality offerings.
• Giving and receiving feedback for the benefit of staff and the management team.
