About the business and the role:
We require an outgoing professional for the management of our fully staffed property in Kiama New South Wales. Kiama Shores Motel has 52 rooms with outdoor swimming pool. There is also a café that adjoins the motel, which is currently tenanted.
The successful candidate will be hands-on who has experience in the Travel/Service Industry.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing reception and reservation duties
- Manage the staff working in Reception, Housekeeping, Maintenance and other support areas that are beyond the expectations of Customers
- Manage all group bookings and seek to build our business with new clients
- Build a harmonious team environment to enhance our standard of product delivery
- Ensuring relevant regulatory compliance across all departments
- Developing a sales culture, identifying market opportunities and driving business growth
- Ensure the property is maintained to its optimum
Skills and experience:
The person we are seeking for the role will have at least 2 years managerial experience within the accommodation/motel sector.
Software experience with accommodation booking software is essential, as is current experience with OTA's and channel managers. We run Booking.com, Siteminder and TheBookingButton.
You will have exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with very strong verbal and written language. You will also demonstrate outstanding time management, organisational skills and have a high degree of professionalism.
The position is hands on.
