Our Chefs provide a consistent and high quality standard of food to our guests. To be successful in this role you will need to have; a creative flair, be adventurous and versatile in your approach to cooking and have the ability to draw upon flavours of modern cuisine. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strong focus on quality, consistency and stock control;
- Hands on approach to food service within the kitchen whilst maintaining high levels of service on a daily basis;
- Work within set budgets in relation to wage cost and cost of goods;
- Ability to manage costs and deliver target margins effectively and consistently;
- Continuation of set procedures to create consistent practices within the kitchen;
- Modern and creative flair to successfully develop and deliver through the kitchen;
- Maintaining practices and training staff in work, health and safety and food safety standards;
- Maintaining strong team morale and the ability to motivate, lead and inspire a team; and
- Working closely with all team members to achieve the highest quality service, presentation and delivery to all customers.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience in a Head Chef position including proven ability to lead and develop a team and to manage kitchen costs and meet set targets;
- Comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation and managing costs particularly controlling wages
- Extensive experience in a busy a la carte environment including menu creation and costing;
- A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work;
- Excellent communication skills;
- A friendly customer service demeanour;
- Effective leadership skills, creativity and a genuine passion for the industry;
