Event Coordinator – Melbourne Cricket Ground

Are you looking to sink your teeth into one of Australia’s greatest sporting and event venues? Seating over 100,000 patrons and consisting over 29 function spaces, the Melbourne Cricket Ground offers a leading edge multifaceted function venue operating 7 days per week.  EPICURE is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join this fast paced environment and invite you to be part of an exciting events portfolio, only to be found at the MCG.

Based at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Event Coordinator is responsible for coordinating functions and events held at the MCG.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Receive and collate all event requirements with 100% accuracy, whilst also ensuring effective communication to all relevant departments as detailed in the responsibility statement
  • Ensuring all event requirements meet EPICURE business strategies and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all clients
  • Ensure all special requirements and additional requirements are clearly communicated
  • Keep an accurate financial history that will assist with directing future business activities
  • Post event invoicing
  • Ensure all safety and security standards are maintained and adhered

 Key Selection Criteria:

  • Previous event coordination experience in a similar role, preferably in a large venue
  • Proven commitment to customer service
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to collate high volume of orders
  • This is a highly administrative role, requiring strong admin skills
  • Excellent communications skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with clients
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to work under very strict deadlines and high pressure environment
