Branch Manager – Perth WA

The Company:

Established in 2006, Alpha Group is a fast growing provider of Car Rental and Car Finance to everyday Australians. Growth has created an opening and an exciting opportunity for a Branch Manager to join and become part of this successful business.

The Role:

As the Branch Manager you will oversee the operations of one of Alpha's newer branch locations in Perth (WA). The branch opened in December 2017 with all the start-up activities including signage, staffing and site specific operational processes having now been completed ready for a new Branch Manager.  The role will see you working autonomously, but with support and direction from the Southern Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery and optimisation of Car Finance and Car Hire services. This role requires a hands-on approach and broad skill set including a solid understanding of profit and loss forecasts to support profitable operational decision-making, daily customer interaction, administrative and compliance tasks, and any other tasks necessary to ensure operational excellence. The role offers the opportunity to manage multiple sites with a 2nd Perth location planned.

Experienced in start-up small business operations or franchise, positive and customer centric you thrive in fast-paced and agile working environments. Target driven with the ability to negotiate and upsell, you know how to maximise business opportunities and revenue. Ethical and moral in your business undertakings you understand business operations and can manage resourcing and expenditure in accordance with monthly profit and loss forecasts. You value administration and compliance and can create and manage fair staff rostering arrangements in accordance with Alpha's operational framework/requirements. You complete accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports on time as required. A true leader, you are a capable manager of multiple sites when needed, a model performer and someone your staff look up to for ongoing guidance, support and performance management.

Role responsibilities and duties

  • Supporting your team to deliver the highest level of customer service
  • Drive sales through up-selling, up-skilling team members and understanding trends
  • Meet and exceed KPI targets for branch operations and activities 
  • Train employees to ensure understanding and compliance with standards, policies and procedures.
  • Effective fleet management through proactive inquiry and planning.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility to support branch requirements with high level priority management
  • Ensure a high level of presentation of the branch and employees
  • Positive "Can Do" attitude, creates a team working environment
  • Actively and positively resolve customer complaints
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports on branch activities, including anticipating potential issues  and resolving with viable solutions
  • Use supporting IT systems (Cars+, Microsoft Office Applications etc.) to complete and analyse transactions with customers and suppliers

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • 5+ year's customer service and sales experience (Car Hire Industry very desirable)
  • 5+ years managing teams/ branch location, holidays/absences/reporting
  • Experience working to targets, achieving and exceeding
  • Negotiation and complaints handling skills and experience
  • Computer literate, with a Cars+ background very desirable
  • Knowledge of compliance with HR employment processes and procedures
  • Time management and ability to prioritise within a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage, influence and report on Profit & Loss statements
