This is a Full Time, Live on Island position
About the Company
Hayman Island Great Barrier Reef is an ultra-luxury private island resort currently undergoing restoration and construction works. Whilst the resort is not open to guests until the beginning of 2019, we are seeking engaged and motivated professionals to be a part of our rebuilding and reopening team.
The Role
Direct the overall Rooms Division operations of Hayman Island Resort to maximise performance, profitability and return on investment by creating a positive and productive work environment, ensuring superior guest service, delivering on corporate responsibilities and compliance with quality and operational standards. Play a lead role in promoting the desired work culture around Hayman Island Resort.

Qualifications and Requirements
Required Skills
*Ability to manage relationships in a matrix environment
*Excellent administration and organisational skills
*High level written and spoken English.
*Demonstrated capability in leading and developing a number of teams.
*Ability to manage strong financial performance within balanced business objectives
*Complex problem solving and decision making.
*Proven ability to deliver training and development tailored to the needs of the business.
In this role you will be required to have the physical requirements to:
*Often walk for long periods of time (including up and down stairs)
*Frequently stand for long periods of time(remaining on ones feet in an upright position without moving about)
*Often bend, squat, kneel and stoop
*Often lift and carry loads of awkward sizes up to and greater than 15kg
*Sometimes push and pull loads (trolleys over 50kg)
*Frequently focus on electronic computer screen for long periods of time
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Hotel/Business Administration, or equivalent
Experience
5 years leadership experience operating a Front Office Department in a large, international, high end, globally recognised brand. Demonstrated understanding and experience in working with the Housekeeping department.
