This is a Full Time, Live on Island position
About the Company
Hayman Island Great Barrier Reef is an ultra-luxury private island resort currently undergoing restoration and construction works. Whilst the resort is not open to guests until the beginning of 2019, we are seeking engaged and motivated professionals to be a part of our rebuilding and reopening team.
The Role
Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and strategic direction across the food and beverage operation of the resort; maximising financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining unique guest experiences, executing on brand standards, and building awareness of the resort, its product offerings and brand in the local community. In addition, the role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations concerning health, safety, or other licensing and applicable legislative requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field plus 4+ years of related experience, including management experience. Must speak local language. Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
In this role you will be required to have the physical requirements to:
*Frequently walk for long periods of time (including up and down stairs)
*Frequently stand for long periods of time (remaining on ones feet in an upright position without moving about)
*Frequently bend, squat, kneel and stoop
*Frequently lift and carry loads of awkward sizes up to and greater than 15kg
*Frequently Push and pull loads (trolleys over 50kg)
*Often climb small step ladders
*Often work with hot liquids
*Frequently carry full trays
