Fabulous Catering provides services at a corporate cafe space in South Wharf, Melbourne.
The cafe is a private cafe setup just for the employees of this firm. The menu is rotating 2 week cycle, that is delivered from our central kitchen in Collingwood. Typically we service approx 100 patrons per day spread across the day, with a main amount of guests at midday to 1pm.
The requirements of this role, is to have the days menus heated from the stocks delivered, prepare fresh items such as basic salads, fruit and yoghurt cups, wraps, sandwiches and toasties for the morning.
This cafe is not a la carte, as such this is for service of a bain marie front, and refridgerated counter top to serve directly to the customer. We are looking for an all rounder, that will prepare the small amount of fresh items in the morning, help the barista with coffees and help with the register if required.
There is ongoing opportunity for further work through our main company - Fabulous Catering to complete function work ongoing also!
Experience in a similar role is preferred, and so is a great friendly attitude towards the job at hand. Other key factors we are looking for is good time management, good communication skills, a quick learner, and a passion for the industry!
Hours are Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm, with NO split shifts!
Parking is provided onsite at DFO (company provides) and public transport is just around the corner at Southern Cross.
