The Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to join our dedicated team based at one of our Education sites in St Lucia. This opportunity will provide you with a fast paced, challenging and varied role within our high profile site. You will be providing high quality daily meal service to our in-house guests along with function and fine dining menus to our client. This role will be working on a casual basis with various working hours.

Key Duties

• Cooking and presenting high-quality and fresh food (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
• Food preparation, adhering to all food safety procedures
• Carrying out general kitchen duties as required
• Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
• Maintaining client and customer satisfaction levels through the production of consistent quality of meals
• Deliver to our client's high expectation of a premium experience
• Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business
• Adhere to all OHS, safe work procedures, policies and practices

The Person

• Qualified Chef with previous similar experience
• Experience in a fast paced environment, catering to large numbers 
• A passion for food and delivering exceptional customer service 
• Excellent communication and presentation
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines as required
• Have a solution focused attitude where "nothing is too much of a challenge"
• Strong Occupational Health and Safety focus and HACCP adherence 
• Able to meet the physical demands of a fast paced, dynamic retail environment
