Gartelmann Wines is a leading Cellar Door in the Lovedale region producing wines from the Hunter Valley and beyond. Our team at the Cellar Door is a small, dedicated, fun-loving team with a deep passion for wine and customer service.

We are looking for a full time team leader involving weekend and weekday work

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver memorable, great customer service and translate this to sales
• Anticipate customer needs
• Conduct wine tastings, both individual and intimate group tastings.
• Be a Brand Ambassador of Gartelmann Wines
• Daily Cellar Door operations including stock handling & packing; as well as basic cleaning/maintenance and administration tasks
• Be free and proactive with ideas to improve the cellar door experience
• Lead and coordinate with fellow team members

Skills and Experience

Successful candidates for this role should possess:

• Strong Hospitality experience
• Strong local knowledge
• A proven ability to provide exceptional customer experiences
• Flexibility - able to work at weekends, holidays and varying shift lengths
• A sound wine knowledge or the desire to learn.
• Meticulous personal presentation
• Enthusiasm, motivation and reliability as well as fit and able to lift cases of wine
• The ability to work unsupervised or in a team environment
• Fluency in English, an additional language is a plus
• A current RSA certificate
