Experienced General Manager required for leading hotel located in inner north Melbourne.  This is a diverse role that requires a strong leader with excellent business acumen to drive business growth across the hotel.  The role is responsible for the overall management and development of staff, sales and marketing, food and beverage, revenue management, events, housekeeping and front office.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Develop the overall hotel strategy to maximize guest satisfaction, staff satisfaction and financial performance.
  • Promote efficient operating procedures to provide a flawless guest experience; actively engage with guests from arrival to departure.
  • Maintain a high level of service in all areas to our internal and external guests.
  • Resolve problems and communicate to ensure consistency and a memorable guest service.
  • HR/Payroll
  • Responsible for the overall success of F&B operation
  • Brand Development, Sales, Marketing and Events
  • Promote a positive work environment; work closely with department heads
  • Manage hotel budget to control expenses and increase revenue
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, and hospitality competitors
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in a resort/hotel environment as a General Manager
  • A driven and motivated leader who displays strong hands-on skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Exceptional financial and revenue management ability
  • Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to grow and develop key client relationships
  • Demonstrated expertise and commercial successful in F&B and conferencing
  • Passionate about hospitality demonstrated by a progressive hotel career
  • You will possess strong commercial acumen, with experience in increasing profitability
