Our client is a market leader in facilities management who are going through a period of growth. They are now seeking permanent Operations Manager who prides themselves in their customer service and administration abilities to join their business. This role is based in the South East/Bayside suburbs of Melbourne however you will be required to travel within the state of Victoria.
The Operations Manager is responsible to provide direction, management and support to the Customer Service Managers, in order to facilitate the smooth running of all sites and representatives. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the customer service, quality, productivity, safety and environmental targets and expectations are met and ensure retention of clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Management & Supervision
Maintain regular communication with Customer Service Managers
Ensure all Customer Service Managers are kept up to date on all relevant operational matters
Work to maintain a team-like atmosphere with multiple sites
Oversee and conduct as necessary regular site inspections
Ensure all staff and franchisees have correct materials available on site
Follow up on any outstanding issues arising during inspections in a timely fashion
Provide advice, coaching and support to Customer Service Managers to drive improved performance
Address anomalies in behaviour or standards as required
Contract Requirements
Ensure contract retention through overseeing the provision of quality work
Ensure productivity maximised through appropriate supervision and management of staff and sites
Ensure Customer Service Managers provided information and equipment required to successfully retain existing contracts
Recruitment, Induction & Training
Participate in recruitment of Customer Service Managers as required
Oversee franchisee induction and training to company requirements
Ensure all employees/franchisees have received adequate training
Schedule and conduct regular and ongoing training in equipment, materials, cleaning methods and quality standards
Maintain and update all training schedules and documents
Company Vehicles
Oversee to ensure company vehicles are kept in a clean and serviceable condition
Maintain company vehicle maintenance schedule log
Customer Service
Ensure client satisfaction at all times
Ensure after sales follow up and support
Maintain regular contact with clients ensuring their needs are met
Assume responsibility for high value clients
You must have experience with managing staff and direct labour employment, Qualifications in Operations or Business Management would be an advantage. You will be expected to assist with the recruitment of staff as required and actively participate in all scheduled training.
Experience within the cleaning industry is mandatory to be considered for this role. This role reports directly into the General Manager and will have Customer Service Manager direct reports.
